1/8″ Milled Fibers are precision-cut fiberglass fibers engineered to reinforce resin systems used in marine, automotive, aerospace, and industrial composite applications. When mixed with polyester resin, vinyl ester resin, or epoxy, these fibers significantly increase the mechanical strength of adhesives, fillers, and repair compounds without greatly affecting the curing process.
The short 1/8″ fiber length provides excellent reinforcement while maintaining a smooth, workable consistency, making it easier to spread and shape than longer chopped strands. Milled fibers are commonly used to create structural bonding compounds, fillets, crack repairs, hole filling, and laminate rebuilding where maximum strength is required.
These fibers are often combined with Cabosil® (fumed silica) to produce a non-sag, high-strength adhesive paste for vertical and overhead applications. They can also be blended with microspheres or other fillers to customize the strength, weight, and sanding characteristics of the finished mixture.
