As Step 1 in the 3M Perfect-It finishing system, it provides strong, extended cutting action to remove sanding scratches, oxidation, surface defects, and other imperfections from painted and clear-coated surfaces.
The EX AC formula maintains its cutting performance during machine buffing, allowing technicians to work the compound effectively without constantly reapplying product. It is formulated for use across a variety of coatings and provides excellent cleanup, helping reduce residue and making the detailing process faster and more efficient.
For best results, apply 3M 36060 using an appropriate rotary polisher and compounding pad. Work the compound until the desired level of defect removal is achieved. After compounding, follow with 3M Perfect-It EX Machine Polish Step 2 to remove remaining compound swirl marks and further refine the surface to a high-gloss finish.
