AT PRIME® 2 Secondary Bonding Agent is a professional-grade, two-component urethane primer engineered to significantly improve secondary bonding performance in fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) and composite applications. Designed for use on cured laminates and non-inhibited surfaces, it chemically activates the substrate to create exceptional adhesion between existing composite structures and new laminates.
Applied with a brush or roller, AT PRIME® 2 forms a durable chemical bond that enhances interlaminar bond strength when used with polyester and vinyl ester resin systems. It is also highly effective for bonding FRP to concrete, bright carbon steel, PVC, SMC, and many other composite and thermoplastic substrates.
The moisture-activated curing system requires no catalyst, making application simple while delivering consistent performance across a wide range of temperatures and humidity levels. Once applied, the primer provides an extended recoat window of up to 24 hours, giving fabricators greater flexibility during large repairs and production projects.
